Lentils Soup
Lentils are high in protein, making them an excellent substitute for meat. This lentil soup has basic ingredients but its result is full of flavor, a warm taste of home. A comforting and welcoming delight. We hope you enjoy it!

- 1 Lb Premium Quality Rio Mex Lentils
- 2 garlic cloves
- ¼ white onion
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tomate diced in small cubes
- ½ green bell pepper diced in small cubes
- Cilantro
- 2 medium potatos
- 2 small carrots
- A bunch of green beans
- ½ lt water
- Sal & pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
In a shallow pot, bring the ½ liter of water to a boil, add the garlic and onion in strips, the tomato, green chili and cilantro and the previously washed lentils, cover and let the flavor release for about 10 – 15 minutes.
Meanwhile we cut the 2 potatoes and carrots into medium cubes.
Cut the green beans into small pieces and set it apart.
Once the vegetables are cut, we will add them to the lentil broth, cover and let it boil over medium high heat until the potatoes are soft.
